PVA Glue sensor for filter manufacturing

The SPI compact Glue Line Sensor has been developed to detect the presence of any PVA glue lines applied to filter or cigarette paper, typically utilised for internal anchorage glue lines or swirl lines for mono and multi-filters.

The unique sensor scans the whole width of the paper detecting the total amount of glue on either side of the paper, providing a method of checking whether the level of glue application is within tolerance.

If the glue level is out of tolerance, the Controller will give an eject signal to the parent machine, thus preventing substandard product being produced.

The sensor can be incorporated with an SPI glue system and controlled via the pump controller or is supplied as an individual unit with its own controller.
